Wharf models for port infrastructure

Modla, Quarterbac and Port of Brisbane develop a wharves model in pilot project to demonstrate the asset modelling methodology.
Wharf models for port infrastructure

Brief

Modla was engaged by Quarterbac, to develop a wharves model for Port of Brisbane. The model was to assist with capital and maintenance planning, as well as demonstrating the scalability of Modla's knowledge capture framework.

Asset Models

For this project, a wharves model was facilitated with the subject matter experts from Port of Brisbane. The contents of the model included: components, failure modes, decision layers, inputs, tasks, events, costs, and the causal relationships between these elements.

Solvers

The solver used a Fixed interval Strategy Optimisation.

Outputs

The outputs were displayed using Power BI.

Conclusion

This project demonstrated the Knowledge-First architecture and process for developing asset models.
